An SMS-alarm directly from the instrument arrives a bit faster compared to the one sent from the alarm group in the AvaNet.
Alarms directly from the instrument is limited to two recipients. Select the AvaNet if you want to send the alarm to multiple recipients. Another advantage with the AvaNet is that you get a single SMS containing multiple alarms instead of one SMS for each alarm.
To add a recipient to an alarm group it is required that the recipient is a registered user of the AvaNet. To send an alarm directly from the instrument only requires a cellphone number.
